The 27th edition of the ACM Great Lakes Symposium on VLSI (GLSVLSI) will be held in the beautiful Canadian Rockies - specifically, in Banff and the beautiful landscapes of Alberta!

You can find more about Alberta here: (Official Website) https://www.banff.ca/ and here https://www.travelalberta.com/ca/, through which the user can be directed to Banff and Lake Louise.

Banff is famous for its rapidly elevating mountains, and the picturesque landscapes. Banff has a rich and vibrant cultural and natural history, recognized globally by the United Nations, which designated the area of the Canadian Rockies as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. The Town of Banff has many programs and initiatives to ensure it protects its valuable history.

You can find more information about about Lake Louise and the GLSVLSI hotel in:

HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE:

Lake Louise is located in the heart of the Banff National Park (http://banffnationalpark.com/) in the Canadian Rockies. The closest major airport to Lake Louise is Calgary International Airport (http://www.yyc.com/) which has direct flights to many US and international destinations.

Chateau Fairmount Lake Louise is approximately 200 km (125 miles) west of the Calgary international airport. There are several options available for transportation (https://www.banfflakelouise.com/trip-planning/getting-here).

Driving is a great choice to do both sight seeing along the Trans Canada Highway, in the park and getting to Lake Louise. The highway is a well maintained divided highway. We will need to obtain a Parks Pass to enter the park at the parks gate. The park pass is free this year because of the celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary. You can rent a car at the Calgary airport or throughout the city of Calgary. The driving directions can be found at: https://goo.gl/maps/wYyFhzvbMnK2

Shuttles Buses are offered by several companies (https://www.banfflakelouise.com/business-directory/transportation/shuttles-taxis). The busses leave from Calgary airport and several other locations throughout Calgary regularly.

Ride Sharing: We are trying to facilitate sharing rides for the conference participants and have set up some registration forms to do this.

If you need a ride, please fill in this form (the green form) by April 30th

If you can give a ride please fill in this form (the blue form) by April 30th:

We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate everyone, but we will try our best.
