DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE CONFERENCE:
GLSVLSI will take place on the campus of Brown University in the
Brown/RISD Hillel Building. The address is:
80 Brown Street,
Providence, RI 02906
It is on the corner of Brown and Angell Streets. Here are
From 95 South, take exit 20 to 195 East.
Proceed to Exit 2 (India St.)
At the foot of the exit ramp, turn left onto India Street.
Take India Street until it ends, and then make a right on to
Proceed for 13 blocks to the Angell St. traffic light
(Angell St. is one way to the left).
Turn left, then proceed on Angell St. for about 7 blocks to
Brown Street. The Hillel building is on the northwest
corner of Brown and Angell Streets.
As a word of caution, the I-95 to I-195 interchange has been
redesigned over the past year and Google maps and other
navigation systems may not have updated their information yet so
please follow these directions instead or you may end up taking
an unplanned tour of south Providence.
On Sunday, you should be able to find plenty of parking spots on
the street. Monday-Friday street parking can be a little tricky
around the campus area. There are a limited number of
non-metered spots on the street available for all-day parking
near the Hillel building. However, a better option may be the
University visitor parking lot near the corner of Brook and
Waterman Streets. From the Hillel building to the parking lot,
proceed as follows:
From Angell Street, turn left onto Brown Street. Brown
Street ends in 1 block at Waterman St.
Turn left onto Waterman and proceed 2 blocks to Brook
Turn right onto Brook Street and immediately after turn left
into the University Visitor Parking lot. There is an
all-day parking fee of $15 M-F.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE HILTON HOTEL TO THE CONFERENCE SITE:
The Hilton Hotel will provide complementary shuttle service to
the conference site. However, it you would like to walk, here
is a suggested route (about 1 mile):
Head down Atwells Ave. toward Broadway.
Take a left onto Broadway which soon becomes Sabin St.
In about 3 blocks, you will reach a 3 way intersection:
take a slight right onto W. Exchange St. (renamed Exchange
Terrace a few feet up the road). Continue for about 2
Cross the river and head up the hill for 6 blocks. (The
street again changes names a few times, but eventually
becomes Angell Street).
